Research

Historical records and missing-person research

Research is the foundation of every engagement. We read, compare, and cite the sources that describe a loss, a burial, or a local account before any fieldwork is proposed.

What we do

  • Archival and historical record research
  • Sources cross-checked against each other rather than accepted individually
  • Oral history collection with residents, families, and former land users
  • Source criticism: documented fact kept separate from later retelling
  • Research questions and open gaps stated in writing

Deliverables

Case dossier with citations, source list, confidence rating, and the open questions carried to the next stage.

How we work

Every engagement is scoped in writing, documented as it proceeds, and delivered as a record that can be reviewed independently. Fieldwork is conducted under the authorizations that apply to each site.
